The Master’s Blog - The Midway In Freemasonry

Welcome to another Master’s Blog from the Worshipful Master of Leopold Lodge 1760.

A brother’s journey in Craft Freemasonry is very special. All brethren undergo the three degrees of Freemasonry, with each one having it’s own unique significance for each brother.

Last month’s Ceremony was a special night at the Leopold lodge as we not only had a Second Degree Ceremony, but it was a double Ceremony! Passing two of our newer brothers to the Degree of a Fellowcraft.

Both Candidates performed brilliant with the answers to the obligatory questions asked by myself, and they had clearly put a lot of time and effort into learning the answers. When you see that kind of commitment at this point in their journey through Freemasonry, it fills me with great confidence in the future of the Leopold Lodge. The whole team did a fantastic job on the night, including some of our other brethren who were standing in for others who unfortunately could not be there.

The festive board was an extra special and memorable event as it was combined with our traditional Burn's Night Celebration. The traditional piping in and the Address to the Haggis, was fantastic to witness, and all who attended enjoyed the night immensely.

We all very much look forward to many more nights like this at Leopold Lodge.
